Should Diddy’s Son Return $54,000 Scholarship?

Justin Combs worked very hard in High School to obtain a 3.75 GPA. He was recently awarded a $54,000 full scholarship to UCLA, where he’ll be on the football team.

Many students across the country are wondering why would Justin (who received a Maybach for his 16th birthday) should be allowed a $54,000 scholarship considering his father is the richest man in Hip Hop.

Should he return it & give it to someone less fortunate?

It’s Official: Terrence & Rocsi Leave BET

It’s the news some of us have been waiting for, Terrence J & Rocsi Diaz, Hosts of the popular music video countdown show 106 & Park are leaving after seven years with the network.

Stephen Hill, BET, Released the following statement:

“Today, after seven exciting years, 106 & Park hosts Terrence J and Rocsi announced that they will be leaving the show. It is no secret that there are a number of opportunities coming their way and we’re fortunate that they’ve been with 106 & Park for so long. They will be staying on the show for a while, so that we can have a “victory lap” — a celebration of their years at the helm of 106 & Park — before their departure. Terrence J and Rocsi are destined for great success and we at BET Networks will always take pride in being their original home — and be a place where I hope they’ll always feel welcome.”

This news is definitely not as disappointing as when former hosts AJ & Free announced their departure. Although Terrence was good for the show, many really didn’t care for the annoying voiced Rocsi, who always seemed to ask guest Kindergarten questions & didn’t seem to know how to read well also.

This leaves the question: Who will replace Terrence & Rocsi? My picks would be DJ Envy, Charlamagne Tha God & Angela Yee from New York’s Power 105.1.

Anyways, Terrance has been seen reporting on E! News & is a successful actor. Meanwhile, it looks like Rocsi is just gonna be unemployed  with Sheree.

Banana Pudding!!

Happy Memorial Day!

I woke up today & decided out of the clear blue sky that i wanted to make banana pudding. I’ve never made it before, but i love it. I headed over to Food Networks website & got a great recipe from the Godmother of Soul Food Paula Deen.

Peep the recipe below:

Ingredients

  • 2 bags Pepperidge Farm Chessmen cookies
  • 6 to 8 bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 (5-ounce) box instant French vanilla pudding
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (14-ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 (12-ounce) container frozen whipped topping thawed, or equal amount sweetened whipped cream

Directions

Line the bottom of a 13 by 9 by 2-inch dish with 1 bag of cookies and layer bananas on top.

In a bowl, combine the milk and pudding mix and blend well using a handheld electric mixer. Using another bowl, combine the cream cheese and condensed milk together and mix until smooth. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture. Add the cream cheese mixture to the pudding mixture and stir until well blended. Pour the mixture over the cookies and bananas and cover with the remaining cookies. Refrigerate until ready to serve.

If an Angel ever fell down from heaven on assignment from Jesus to make banana pudding, trust me it will taste like this!

Beyonce: Back To Business

Beyonce hit the stage this Memorial Day Weekend for the first time after giving birth in January, proving she is back from maternity leave & telling the less talented such as Rihanna to go ahead and take the summer off because she’s back. Beyonce performed a four night set at the new Revel Resorts & Casinos in Atlantic City, NJ. The average ticket prices for this sold out concert was $500 – $1,000. Beyonce opened the show with “End of Time”, followed by a number of hits from her career including “Love on Top”, “Crazy in Love”, “Party”, “Countdown” & “Single Ladies”. Beyonce featured the late Donna Summer in her performance of “Naughty Girl”. Beyonce also covered “I Will Always Love You” as a tribute to the late Whitney Houston.

Many celebrities were in attendance including First Lady Michelle Obama, Will & Jada Smith, Gayle King, Kevin Hart, Kelly Rowland, Vera Wang & New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Many left the show calling Beyonce the Greatest Performer of All Time (in which she is). Jay Z tweeted: “I’m gonna say this and then I’m gonna end mine.” BEYONCE is the best performer in the world. Period.”

Beyonce is currently working on her new album. She’s nominated for 7 BET Awards. A World Tour for her album “4” has not been confirmed or denied.
