Trey Songz is set to star in the romantic comedy ‘Baggage Claim’.
The film, Fox Searchlight’s adaptation of a novel written by David E. Talbert, focuses on a 35-year-old flight attendant who refuses to show up to her younger sister’s engagement party without a fiancé of her own, so she begins searching for a man.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Trey will play a big-time record producer with “plenty of swagger,” alongside Taye Diggs, Paula Patton, Derek Luke, Adam Brody, and Djimon Hounsou. Shooting begins this month in Los Angeles.
Trey Songz is also starring in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, which hits theaters this January.
